Employment and Training Support

Gypsies & Travellers Wales is proud to present PROSPER, an innovative 5 year project funded by Big Lottery’s People and Places.

PROSPER is here to support Gypsies and Travellers aged 16+ in Cardiff to develop employability skills.
To prosper means to do well, to succeed. The project is funded to bring about improvements to communities and to the lives of people in need.

We will achieve this through;

Participation – Recognition of Skills – Preparation – Employment – Reward

By providing regular advice and support around finding, securing and sustaining work and in encouraging people to develop existing skill sets or interests as well as valuing entrepreneurship, PROSPER will support Gypsies and Travellers to gain and build on the qualifications and experience needed for employment.

  • 1-2-1 mentoring
  • employability and essential skills workshops
  • driving theory classes
  • IT skills support

PROSPER will forge partnerships promoting awareness and inclusion. A key aim is to involve Gypsies and Travellers in designing and delivering cultural awareness training for organisations keen to develop their knowledge and understanding.
