An Introduction to Working with Gypsies and Travellers
We have developed a half day introductory course which focuses on key themes and questions arising amongst professionals about Gypsies and Travellers. The course is ideal for members of the statutory, voluntary or private sector wishing to engage or work more effectively with Gypsies and Travellers
Why Gypsies and Travellers Wales?
With over thirty years supporting Gypsies and Travellers in and around Cardiff, our courses will help you to develop your knowledge and understanding of the community and focus on a number of specialist issues, including accommodation and homelessness, welfare and social issues, health and education.
How is training delivered?
Individuals can attend open courses that are delivered primarily to Cardiff City Council staff at Trowbridge Community Centre and locations around Cardiff. Alternatively, we can come to your organisation and deliver training in-house. We can develop training tailored to your organisation’s need.
How much does training cost?
Individual places cost from £50 per person for a full day, and from £25for a half day. Courses can be delivered in house from £400 per day.
Certain courses may incur a small surcharge if there are extra materials needed to deliver the course. We will let you know about this at the time of booking. Please contact us for prices to deliver courses for your organisation outside of South East Wales.

Please note: there will be a standard charge of £20 for any cancellations made less than 5 working days before the course date. Cancellations made within 3 working days of the course will incur the full charge (or a minimum of £20). Participants who have booked but do not attend a training course without first notifying us will also incur the full charge.
